In recent decades, various problems such as deforestation, forest degradation, forest fires, encroachment, and overexploitation of resources have had serious impacts on the sustainability of forest functions. This situation has given rise to a new paradigm in forest resource management that emphasizes the importance of a balance between utilization and conservation, known as sustainable forest management.
