INTRODUCTION TO LEARNING MEDIA

This book covers an introduction to instructional media. It covers the basic concepts of instructional media, the design and development of instructional media, the use of instructional media in the classroom,and the development of instructional media.
Advances in science and technology have brought significant changes to the world of education, particularly in the learning process (Guaña-Moya et al., 2023). One crucial component experiencing rapid development is the use of learning media. Learning media not only function as tools but have also become an integral part ofmodern learning systems (Santiani et al, 2025).
In learning, the learning process is essentially a communication process between educators and students (Hills, 2025; Sánchez & Morgado, 2024). Messages in the form of learning materials are delivered through various channels for optimal reception and understanding. Therefore, the presence of learning media is crucial in bridging this communication process.
Learning media can create a more concrete, engaging, and interactive learning experience. Appropriate use of media can increase learning motivation, clarify the delivery of material, and help
students understand abstract concepts (Haeruman et al., 2022; Hindriana et al., 2026; Saputro et al., 2025). Based on this, understanding the basic concepts of learning media is very importantfor educators and education practitioners in various fields.
